Registration for the 2016 Spring Meetings is now OPEN.

Attendance to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Spring Meetings is by invitation only. All participants must be accredited in advance of the Meetings. To facilitate accreditation and registration, the participants are divided into different categories, described below. Please determine your registration category and submit your registration request accordingly.

Participants are strongly encouraged to register as soon as possible to avoid delays.

 

 

REGISTRATION FOR DELEGATES

Delegates are governmental officials of the member countries of the IMF and the WBG. Delegates are registered through the IMF and WBG Offices of Executive Directors. If you have any questions about Delegate registration, please forward your inquiries to meetingsregistration@imf.org

REGISTRATION FOR OBSERVERS

Spring Meetings Observers are the representatives of the observer institutions to the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) and the Development Committee (DC). REGISTRATION FOR PRESS

Members of the Press with valid credentials are invited to attend the IMF and WBG Meetings. All working Press must have Spring Meetings credentials to attend the Meetings. To be accredited, you must present one of the following:

1.  Valid press credentials issued by national or local authorities;

OR

2.  Clear evidence that you are on assignment from a specific news organization or publication. This applies to all freelancers, including photographers. A valid assignment letter from that news organization, or publication, is required. Photographic agencies must provide clear evidence from a client news organization or publication.

If such credentials are not held, or are in question, it will be at the discretion of the IMF and WBG to determine whether access to the Annual Meetings is granted.  If you have any questions about Press registration please forward your inquiries to media@imf.org.

REGISTRATION FOR CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) include non-governmental organizations, community groups, labor unions, indigenous peoples movements, faith based organizations, professional associations, foundations, think tanks, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations.

All CSO representatives interested in participating in the Spring Meetings must obtain individual accreditation. The online registration system to accept applications for civil society registration opened on February 17, 2016 and will close on April 1, 2016. Registration will not be granted after this deadline, thus CSO representatives are encouraged to request registration early.

As in previous years, the Civil Society Policy Forum, a program of policy dialogue sessions for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), will be held ahead of the Spring Meetings from April 11, 2016 to April 15, 2016. Information on the Policy Forum and the schedule of sessions will be posted on the WBG Civil Society website.

REGISTRATION FOR GUESTS (Private Sector and Academia)

Guest registration for the 2016 Spring Meetings is now closed.
All Guests are subject to clearance. Because clearance may take two weeks or more, Guests are strongly encouraged to apply by April 1, 2016 for timely accreditation and registration. Guest accreditation is not transferrable.

Who may apply as a Guest?

1.   Private Sector: Representatives from financial institutions and banks, commercial enterprises, consulting, and contractor firms.

2.   Parliamentarians and senators.

3.   Academia: University professors, researchers, and faculty members who have professional and educational interest in the operations and affairs of the IMF and the WBG. For students interested in attending, an endorsement letter is required from the Head of Department or Vice Chancellor of the University confirming status in the University and stating academic interest.

IMF Guest or WBG Guest?

Applicants are requested to choose whether they are to be listed as IMF Guests or WBG Guests, based on their focus during the Spring Meetings. The choice of the Fund or the Bank will not preclude access to venues and events at the other institution. Therefore, except for restricted events, all Fund and Bank Guests will have access to both Bank and Fund venues.

IMF and WBG Staff
, including field office staff who have headquarters-issued regular IMF/WBG staff IDs, will be permitted to access all buildings with their staff photo ID and do NOT need to register unless attending Meetings where additional credentials are required.

 

ON-SITE REGISTRATION 

Participants seeking access to the Spring Meetings venues, especially on the dates when the security perimeter is established around the buildings, must be accredited in advance of the 2016 Spring Meetings. Participants are required to carry their passports or other means of photographic identification. As Meetings badges should bear the most recent photograph, participants must present themselves to be photographed and obtain their individual identification badges.

Facilities for onsite accreditation are very limited and onsite accreditation is not guaranteed. Please plan your attendance at the Spring Meetings events in advance.
